Children spend so much time at school doing amazing things, but too often photography is left to chance. Building on the experiences of documenting the 2011-2012 school year at PS191, the 2012-13, 2013-14 and 2014-15 school years at Success Academy Upper West (a public charter school), and covering an event for PS199, I have been actively pursuing special event coverage through to full documentary photography services to schools in the New York City area.
Especially in the elementary school years, when our children change almost daily, parents have been elated to have access to high quality images, not just snap shots made with a cell phone when time permits. Contact me to discover how affordable it can be to produce quality portraits, event images you can't make with a cell phone, and a view into the many hours your child is at school through photographs and video. For more details (and the password to the pages showcasing the project) please contact me by email or phone.

Digital photography makes many technniques possible that couldn’t be done with film practically. Panoramic images that can be controlled by a web visitor can now also be shot as video. Complex lighting conditions can be managed with High Dynamic Range processing. Increasing the depth of field in an image (for Macro images or miniatures) is now possible. Time lapse video is now a viable option for nearly any project.
Before becoming a full-time photographer I worked in television production for many years. It influences my photography in that I capture many angles on each assignment. I can also shoot, produce, and edit videos with my laptop to rival the millions of dollars of hardware I would have needed in the past.
Sports leagues looking for high quality action photography, including trading cards, can tap into my years of experience as a sports photographer, college team photographer, and publication designer. The Baseball Center league will mark my return to this type of work in many years in 2013. Work samples to come after the project is completed.
