As the realization set in that I'd made enough photos to make a kindergarten yearbook for the 2012-2013 year I was in the middle of doing the same for the first grade this year. The next edition might not be as long as the 82 page book I created for the kindergarten, but I have photographed a good mix of school and grade specific events so I have a good selection of photos to work from. For the kindergarten this year I don't have as many events to work with, but I could incorporate images made by the parents to also make a more substantial book about your year too.
Now to squeeze in photographing all of the scholars before the summer vacation arrives. Please let your class parent know if you have any reluctance to have your child photographed. Please know that these images are only for you, your children, and the yearbook. I would also like your permission to show the work to potential clients, something I would do without identifying the kids by name.
The way the kids moved around during the day there should be lots of familiar faces in the photos I have made, and plenty of events that will evoke memories. The portraits round out the book to catch anyone who managed to avoid being photographed during the year. .
