Nearly anyone can be a photographer, but there is more to being a photojournalist. I had a great set of faculty at Indiana University who trained an impressive roster of professionals over the years. I am honored to count many of these amazing photojournalists among my friends.
One of the greatest aspects of being a journalist is having a job that expects you to be involved in your community. It helps offset the hour or two managing the business behind every fun hour behind the camera. In addition to helping organizations with photography I am working to create a non-profit related to photography.
