Nearly anyone can be a photographer, but there is more to being a photojournalist. I had a great set of faculty at Indiana University who trained an impressive roster of professionals over the years. I am honored to count many of these amazing photojournalists among my friends.
One of the greatest aspects of being a journalist is having a job that expects you to be involved in your community. It helps offset the hour or two managing the business behind every fun hour behind the camera.
